Gentle games
Grounding works better when it's easy and a little bit pleasant. Pick anything, leave anything, stop whenever you like.
🏠 Build your safe room
Choose the things you would like in an imagined, comfortable room. Later you can tap any object in your room to start a small grounding exercise.
Your room
Empty for now — and an empty quiet room is also a fine place to be.
🔦 Lighthouse beam
The beam sweeps slowly. Each time it passes, there is one small thing to notice. Nothing to finish, nothing to score.
Press start when you are ready.
🫧 Bubble pop
Each bubble asks for something in the room you are actually in. Find it, then pop the bubble. Bubbles you don't want can simply be popped too.
More bubbles are on their way…
No hurry.
🌊 Ride the wave
Distress tends to rise, peak and fall like a wave. This is ninety seconds of practising staying with the sensation, using your senses, instead of fighting it.
When you're ready.
Stopping early is not failing. Choosing when to stop is a skill too.
🃏 Grounding card deck
Five suits: Movement, Senses, Orientation, Comfort, Connection. Draw one and try it, or draw again — no card is compulsory.
The deck is face down.
🧩 Present-day detective
You're collecting clues. The mystery is simply: where and when am I right now? Every clue you gather counts, and “unclear” is a legitimate case note.
Clue 1: What season does it look like outside?
Leaves, light, what people are wearing.
Clue 2: What technology can you see?
Screens, chargers, appliances — each one has an era.
Clue 3: What does a calendar or phone say today is?
Copy it down exactly as it appears.
Clue 4: What room are you in, and whose is it?
Describe two things that make it that room.
Clue 5: What is the newest thing you can see?
Something that arrived recently in your life.
Case open.
🎵 Sound harbour
Optional, neutral background sound. Nothing plays until you choose it, and one tap stops everything. If sound is overwhelming for you today, skip this entirely.
Nothing is playing.
